What We Believe

Overview

We want you to know that you are welcome here. We also want to let you know who we are. First and foremost we are disciples of Jesus Christ. We are a church of people who want to understand more fully just what it means to truly follow after the Son of God. We are sinners, people who make mistakes and do things we should not do. But, we are repentant sinners. We know the One who can clean us, turn us onto the right path, and guide us each step of our lives to the heavenly calling He has set before us. We do not claim to know all the answers of life, but we know the One who does - Jesus Christ.

Questions are important

Answers are to be pursued through the Word and the Holy Spirit. Being a part of this church means being part of a family. Our family structure is based on the Bible which we believe to be the express Word of God. We believe we are to encourage each other to live in obedience to what the Word of God commands. We are to deny self, take up our cross and follow Jesus. Nothing more is required. Nothing less will do.

We believe that God:

- Has always existed, and is the only God.
- Established the plan for the development of all creation, and its salvation.
- Empowered all creation.
- Chose Jesus Christ to be the creator of mankind, the ransom for mankind, and the restorer and personal savior of mankind.

We believe that Jesus Christ:

- Is the begotten Son of God.
- Created all that was created.
- Existed as a spirit (the Logos) when He created all things.
- Became a human being to die as the ransom for mankind.
- Was raised to divine glory to be the savior of mankind.
- Always was fully and completely faithful and obedient to his Father, and guarantees all those whom He saves will be also.

We believe that the Holy Spirit:

- Is the effective communication of the Father in the lives of His people.
- Is the only means by which anyone can understand and obey spiritual things to the level of life saving faith and commitment.
- Is the Comforter, the leader into all truth.

We believe that there are two results of salvation.

1. A spiritual reward in heaven as the bride of Christ for all who: Now accept Christ as Savior. Commit to discipleship (give their lives completely) to Him. Are faithful and obedient to God' will.

2. An earthly reward for all who: Accept Christ as savior after their resurrection. Are obedient and faithful during the Millennium. Resist Satan' temptations after the Millennium.

We believe there is one result of rejecting God's salvation:

Eternal destruction - Cessation of existence.

We believe Christ is coming again to:

- Establish His reign on earth.
- Claim His bride.
- Institute the Millennium by binding Satan.
- Resurrect all of mankind.
- Fulfill all spiritual promises.

We also firmly believe

in unity, not uniformity.
